Referring emergency cases to our facility is your family veterinarian's way of ensuring that your pet receives around the clock care and monitoring throughout the night, weekend or holiday.
- All patients admitted for treatment during a weeknight will be prepared for travel to your family veterinarian the next morning by 8:00am.
- Patients admitted Friday evening through Sunday may stay until they are stable enough to return home or until Monday morning by 8:00am to transfer to your regular family veterinarian.
- When a patient is released, you will be given all necessary materials (x-rays, records, etc.) A copy of the patient records will also be sent to your family veterinarian.
- In the event of an emergency, we ask that, if possible, you call ahead to allow our staff to prepare for your arrival. We may suggest immediate measures and precautions to take while handling your sick or injured pet.
- A member of our veterinary team will obtain vital signs as soon as possible. We work on a "worst comes first" basis. There are times when more critically ill or injured patients may be treated first, requiring some patients to wait. Rest assured that your pet will also receive the same consideration and attention.
